Exciting news as Bloomsbury have acquired world rights to a series of six crime novels by Bath Literature Festival director James Runcie. Group editor-in-chief Alexandra Pringle scooped the series through David Godwin. The books will feature character Sidney Chambers, honorary canon of Ely Cathedral, as he works with friend Inspector Horatio Keating to unravel case after case. The first title, Grantchester Murders, will be published in May 2012.
All of us here at Bath Festivals are thrilled and relieved to hear that our Arts Council England funding is safe for 2012-15. This will enable us to continue bringing you the Festivals you love and enjoy, and to maintain the outstanding education work we do within the local community. Whilst the Arts Council support is vital, we are still heavily reliant on support from our Friends and supporters. To become a Friend of the festivals, or for further information on our work, or the Arts Council decision, please contact: info@bathfestivals.org.uk or ring Beth Morgan on 01225 462 231.
